LCS Delivery Cost Calculator
Table of Contents
LCS delivery charges start at PKR 120 for same-city economy parcels. The total cost depends on parcel weight, delivery zone, service type, and optional add-ons like COD collection and shipment insurance.
What Is This LCS Delivery Cost Calculator?
This free tool lets you estimate Leopards Courier shipping charges before booking, so there are no surprises when your invoice arrives. It uses publicly available Leopards Courier (LCS) rate information for 2026 to produce an immediate PKR estimate based on your specific inputs: delivery zone, parcel weight, service type, and optional services like Cash on Delivery (COD) and shipment insurance.
The calculator covers all four standard LCS delivery zones, all three service tiers (Economy, Overnight Express, and Same-Day), and accurately applies the COD fee structure and the 1% insurance rate. It does not replace an official booking quotation but is accurate enough for budgeting, comparing service options, and planning your e-commerce shipping costs at scale.
Whether you are an individual sender shipping a single parcel from Lahore to Karachi, or an e-commerce business processing hundreds of monthly COD orders, this tool gives you a reliable starting point for understanding your LCS costs.
How to Use the LCS Cost Calculator
Using the calculator takes under 60 seconds. Follow these four steps:
- Select Delivery Zone: Choose from Same City, Same Province, Cross Province, or Remote Area. If you know both sender and recipient cities, the zone selector in the calculator can auto-suggest the zone. Same City is the cheapest; Remote Area carries the highest surcharge.
- Choose Service Type: Pick Economy (3-5 business days), Overnight Express (1-2 business days), or Same-Day / Mera Time (same-day, major cities only). Economy is 40-50% cheaper than Express for identical shipments.
- Enter Parcel Weight: Type the actual weight in kilograms. If your parcel is bulky relative to its weight, calculate volumetric weight first (see the section below) and enter whichever figure is higher. LCS charges based on the greater of actual or volumetric weight.
- Add Optional Services: Check the COD box if the recipient will pay on delivery, and enter the collection amount. Check Insurance if you want to protect the declared value. Click Calculate Estimated Cost to see your PKR total broken down line by line.
The result panel shows base shipping charge, per-kg weight charge (if applicable), COD fee, insurance fee, and the estimated grand total. All figures are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).

How LCS Calculates Delivery Charges
Leopards Courier calculates your delivery charge using a simple additive formula:
Total Charge = Base Rate + (Extra kg Rate x Additional Weight) + Zone Multiplier + COD Fee + Insurance Fee
Each component works as follows:
- Base Rate: A flat fee that covers delivery of the first kilogram. This varies by service tier. Economy same-city starts at PKR 120; Economy cross-province starts at PKR 280; Express same-city starts at PKR 200.
- Extra kg Rate: For every kilogram above the first, LCS charges an additional per-kg rate. Economy same-city adds PKR 40/kg; Economy cross-province adds PKR 80/kg. Express rates are higher.
- Zone Multiplier: The delivery zone determines the base rate tier. Same City is the cheapest; Remote Area can be 3x the same-city base rate for express shipments.
- COD Fee: If Cash on Delivery is selected, LCS charges 1% of the COD collection amount, with a minimum of PKR 50. This fee is charged to the sender and deducted from the COD remittance.
- Insurance Fee: Optional shipment insurance costs 1% of the declared value, with a minimum of PKR 50. It covers loss or damage during transit.
LCS does not publicly publish a single universal rate card, as prices vary by account type (walk-in vs eCommerce account vs corporate account). The estimates in this calculator are based on standard walk-in rates as publicly disclosed. Registered business accounts consistently receive lower rates.
LCS Service Types Compared
Leopards Courier offers three main domestic service tiers. Here is how they compare:
| Service | Transit Time | Same-City Cost | Cross-Province | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Economy | 3-5 business days | PKR 120 (1 kg) | PKR 280 (1 kg) | Non-urgent parcels, low-cost e-commerce |
| Overnight Express | 1-2 business days | PKR 200 (1 kg) | PKR 450 (1 kg) | Documents, time-sensitive orders |
| Same-Day (Mera Time) | Same business day | PKR 350 (1 kg) | Not available | Same-city urgent deliveries only |
For most e-commerce sellers, Economy service provides the best balance of cost and reliability for parcels that are not time-sensitive. Overnight Express is recommended for documents, spare parts, or orders where the buyer has paid a premium for speed. Same-Day service is strictly intra-city and is only available in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and a handful of other major cities.
Delivery Zones Explained
LCS divides Pakistan into four delivery zones. Understanding which zone your shipment falls into is the single biggest factor in determining your cost.
Same City: Both pickup and delivery address are within the same city. This is the fastest and cheapest option, with same-day delivery available in select cities. Examples: Lahore to Lahore, Karachi to Karachi, Islamabad to Islamabad.
Same Province: Pickup and delivery are in different cities within the same province. A shipment from Lahore to Faisalabad, both in Punjab, falls in this zone. Transit time is typically 2-3 business days for economy. Same-province parcels cost roughly 1.6x the same-city rate.
Cross Province: The sender and recipient are in different provinces. Lahore (Punjab) to Karachi (Sindh), or Peshawar (KPK) to Islamabad (Federal), are examples. These cost roughly 2.3x the same-city base rate and take 3-5 business days for economy service.
Remote / Mountainous Area: Deliveries to remote towns, tribal districts, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and areas with difficult terrain or limited road access. Charges are significantly higher, often 3x or more the same-city base rate, and transit times range from 5-10 business days. Examples: Skardu, Chitral, Rawalakot, Miran Shah.
If you are unsure which zone applies to your shipment, you can ask your local LCS Express Center or call 111-300-786. The cities and zones can also change slightly with seasonal access (especially mountainous areas in winter).
Volumetric Weight: How LCS Calculates Package Dimensions
LCS, like most couriers, charges based on whichever is greater: the actual weight or the volumetric (dimensional) weight. This prevents bulky, lightweight items from consuming disproportionate cargo space while paying the minimum rate.
The volumetric weight formula used by Leopards Courier is:
Volumetric Weight (kg) = (Length cm x Width cm x Height cm) / 5000
Example: A box measuring 40 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm has a volumetric weight of (40 x 30 x 20) / 5000 = 4.8 kg. If the actual parcel weighs only 1.2 kg, LCS charges based on 4.8 kg. This is an important consideration for e-commerce sellers shipping clothing, footwear, and similar low-density goods.
To minimize volumetric weight charges:
- Use the smallest box that adequately protects your product. Avoid using oversized boxes with excessive padding.
- For clothing, use poly mailers rather than boxes. A poly mailer has near-zero volumetric weight.
- For multiple small items in one order, consolidate into a single parcel to reduce per-shipment overhead.
COD and Insurance Charges Explained
Two common add-ons significantly affect the final delivery cost for e-commerce sellers:
Cash on Delivery (COD): When a seller ships on COD, the recipient pays the order value to the delivery rider at the time of delivery. LCS collects this money and remits it to the seller after deducting the COD service fee. The COD fee is 1% of the collected COD amount, with a minimum of PKR 50. For example, on a PKR 3,000 order, the COD fee is PKR 30 (minimum applies, so PKR 50). On a PKR 8,000 order, the COD fee is PKR 80.
COD remittance timelines vary by account type: standard accounts typically receive remittance within 3-7 business days of delivery. Business accounts with higher monthly volumes may negotiate shorter remittance cycles.
Shipment Insurance: LCS offers optional shipment insurance that covers loss or damage during transit. The premium is 1% of the declared value, with a minimum of PKR 50. Insurance does not cover damage caused by inadequate packaging, inherently fragile items, or prohibited goods. If you ship valuable electronics, jewelry, or high-value clothing, insurance is strongly recommended as it provides a claims pathway in case of loss.
Note: COD and insurance fees are cumulative. A PKR 5,000 COD order with insurance would incur PKR 50 COD (minimum) + PKR 50 insurance = PKR 100 in add-on fees, plus the base shipping cost.

How to Reduce LCS Shipping Costs
Experienced e-commerce sellers apply five proven strategies to consistently lower their Leopards Courier shipping costs:
- Choose Economy Service for Non-Urgent Parcels: Economy is 40-50% cheaper than Overnight Express for the same shipment. Unless your buyer specifically needs next-day delivery, default to Economy. Many buyers are satisfied with 3-5 day transit if the parcel is tracked and communicated well.
- Optimize Packaging to Reduce Volumetric Weight: As explained above, LCS charges based on volumetric weight when it exceeds actual weight. Right-sizing your boxes and switching to poly mailers for soft goods can reduce your average per-parcel cost by 15-30%.
- Open a Business Account for Volume Discounts: Sellers shipping 50+ parcels per month should open a registered business account with Leopards Courier. Corporate account rates are typically 10-25% lower than standard walk-in rates. The account also provides faster remittance cycles for COD collections. Visit any LCS Express Center or contact the corporate sales team at 111-300-786 to apply.
- Reduce Return-to-Origin (RTO) Rate: Every failed delivery and return costs you the full round-trip shipping fee. Reducing RTO from 15% to 5% on 200 monthly orders (saving 20 RTO shipments at PKR 280 each) saves PKR 5,600 per month. Strategies include confirming the delivery address and phone number before dispatch, sending buyers a WhatsApp message with the tracking CN on the day of dispatch, and offering address correction within 24 hours of booking.
- Book Online via the LCS eCommerce Portal: Walk-in rates are typically higher than eCommerce account rates. Registering for an LCS eCommerce account (free for qualifying sellers) gives access to lower rate slabs, online booking, COD management dashboards, and bulk tracking. This is the single most impactful change for any seller processing more than 20 shipments per month.
Business Accounts and Bulk Shipping Rates
Leopards Courier maintains a tiered rate structure for business customers. The following tiers are commonly referenced (exact figures are negotiated with the LCS corporate sales team and depend on business category, shipment profile, and monthly volume):
- Standard Walk-in Rate: The highest rate, applicable to individual senders and unregistered businesses. Rates shown in this calculator reflect this tier.
- eCommerce Account Rate: Available to online sellers who register at the LCS eCommerce portal. Typically 5-15% lower than walk-in rates. Includes access to bulk booking tools, CSV upload, and a unified dashboard for tracking and COD reconciliation.
- Corporate / High-Volume Account Rate: Negotiated directly with the LCS regional corporate sales manager for businesses shipping 500+ parcels per month. Discounts of 15-25% or more are achievable, along with priority handling, dedicated account management, and faster COD remittance (next-day in some cases).
- API Integration Rate: Businesses integrating directly with the LCS API and automating shipping labels can access additional automation discounts. See our API tracking guide for more on technical integrations.
To apply for a business account, visit your nearest LCS Express Center with your CNIC, NTN (if applicable), and business registration documents. The approval process typically takes 2-3 business days for standard accounts and 5-7 days for corporate accounts.
