"Assigned to Courier": What This LCS Status Means
Table of Contents
"Assigned to Courier" means your Leopards Courier parcel has been assigned to a delivery rider and is about to be dispatched for final delivery. This is the second-to-last status before "Delivered" - delivery typically happens within 4 to 8 hours of this update.
What Does "Assigned to Courier" Mean?
When your LCS tracking shows "Assigned to Courier", it means:
- Your parcel has been sorted and processed at the destination city's LCS hub.
- A specific delivery rider (field agent) has been assigned to handle your delivery.
- The rider has physically received your parcel and added it to their delivery route.
- Your parcel is either already on the delivery vehicle or about to be loaded.
This is a very positive status - it means your parcel is in the final stage of delivery and a real person is now responsible for getting it to you.

What If Delivery Doesn't Happen?
If your parcel shows "Assigned to Courier" for more than 24 hours without progressing to "Delivered" or "Out for Delivery," here's what to do:
- Check your phone - The rider may have called from an unknown number. Call back any missed numbers from the delivery timeframe.
- Verify your address - If the address was incomplete or unclear, the rider may not have been able to locate you.
